Governance Officer
Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis.
Location: UK Flexible (hybrid)
The opportunity:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Governance Officer to join the UK Financial Crime, Health & Safety Operations & Governance team within the first line of defence.
We are looking for someone who has experience in Governance and a desire to learn more about the Financial Crime / Health & Safety Risks. Practical experience of producing Management Information (MI) and analysis to extract meaningful insights, quality assurance, risk and control management and oversight, administration of formal meetings and ad-hoc project management support. Good stakeholder management of varying levels of seniority will be important.
The role provides the individual with a unique opportunity to work as part of a Governance Team who has oversight over Zurich’s management of the Financial Crime and Health & Safety risk management frameworks, across the UK’s General and Life Insurance business. Working collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Compliance and market facing business units the successful candidate will bring a pragmatic and ‘can-do’ attitude to the role.

What will you be doing?
- Producing Management Information and support to drive meaningful insights
- Performing quality assurance over key controls to ensure our ongoing compliance and accuracy
- Administering Financial Crime/ Health & Safety risk and control environments
- Administration and support of key meetings, including the preparation of meeting packs and minute taking
- Ad-hoc project management support, as required by the team
- Management of key systems and tools utilised by the Financial Crime/ Health & Safety Team
What are we looking for?
- Experience of working with a Governance Team or applying Governance principles to a role
- Experience of producing Management Information, with an attention to detail for accuracy, reporting and trend analysis
- Experience of ad-hoc project management support, demonstrating an organised and timely approach to delivery
- Ability to quickly learn systems and tools, taking ownership for the administration
- Experience and willingness to prepare powerpoint presentations and minute taking of key meetings
- Strong stakeholder management skills
