TMK are looking to recruit an individual for a 6-month fixed-term contract Project Manager position as part of the Insurance Cross-Company Returner Programme 2025.
Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) is a leading international insurer with a reputation for specialist underwriting expertise, outstanding claims service, and innovative products. We are proud to be partnering with Careers Returners to launch our 2025 to be part of their Career returners programme that provides returning professionals based in the UK with a supported route back into the workforce.
The 6 month fixed-term contract will run from May 2025 to November 2025. The role will report to the Head of Project Delivery within the Business Transformation.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills & behaviours:
- Demonstrable experience with managing complex projects
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles
- Demonstrable experience in Data projects using Talend and Snowflake technologies
- Structure approach to project management demonstrating proficiency with various software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
- Working understanding of AI
- Project Management standards qualified i.e. Prince 2, APM.
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to initiate, grow and maintain strong working relationships at all levels including Executive level
- Strong vendor management skills
- Working understanding of CI/CD Pipelines.
- Adaptable individual with good interpersonal skills
- Meticulous document preparation, presentation and writing skills

At the end of the 6-month period, your placement may be converted to a permanent role.
How will I be supported in my return to work?
To set you up for success and to support your transition back into the workforce, you will receive an internal mentor to help with any training & skills updating and a buddy for any day-to-day questions. You will also benefit from a coaching programme provided by Career Returners throughout your 6-month placement period. You will also be part of a peer support group of other returners re-entering the insurance sector (also facilitated by Career Returners).
Am I eligible?
Your career break must be 18 months or more as of May 2025. You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around your other commitments or have not done any paid work for a number of years.
