Adaptive Modeller
Key Relationships: Finance Leadership Team, Financial Performance Team, Group Reporting and Tax, Support Function Heads and Business Managers, Modernisation Delivery Leads, Corporate Development & other Business Users.
Job Summary:
The role involves supporting Senior Adaptive Modellers in the continuous improvement and maintenance of a complex Workday Adaptive solution. Key responsibilities include providing technical support for BAU activities, maintaining and updating modelling solutions, assisting Super Users with data mappings, integrations, and system maintenance, and performing system health checks. Additionally, the role involves facilitating the development of the product roadmap, collaborating with the platform architecture team to develop and release end-user requirements, and providing technical expertise for system enhancements. Documentation and maintenance of system design and configuration notes are also essential aspects of the job.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting the Senior Adaptive Modellers in the delivery of continuous improvement and maintenance of a complex Workday Adaptive solution.
BAU Support
- Working with the Senior Adaptive Modellers to provide technical support to the BAU activities within a complex Adaptive solution in a post-production environment:
- Maintain updates and changes to modelling solutions to facilitate the resolution of support tickets, as well as feature enhancements and new feature design.
- Assist Super Users in performing data mappings and integrations
- Assist Super Users in the maintenance of versions, access & permission rules, assumptions, and sheets
- Perform system health-checks and enhance model configuration and processes
- Proactively, leverage Workday Adaptive Planning’s bi-annual upgrades as appropriate
Roadmap Enhancements
- Facilitate the development of the product road map:
- Work with the Senior Adaptive Modellers for each use case, to develop, maintain and release end-user requirements, in collaboration with the wider platform architecture team.
- Provide technical expertise to execute the design and configuration of system enhancements in Adaptive Planning.
- To document and maintain system design and configuration notes.
Centre of Excellence
- Documentation, review, and education:
- Show active listening and participate in team standups, planning sessions and retrospectives to drive strategic conversations (pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, value associated)
- Evaluate the feasibility of stakeholder requirements and translate complex technical Adaptive concepts into non-technical recommendations
- Ensure that all system functions, processes, capabilities, guidelines are well-known to main stakeholders as well as quality and change control standards are met from a technical perspective
- Develop your own network and stay up-to-date with the Adaptive community & Workday for any system upgrades and support queries.

Integrity and Control

Education and Qualifications
Essential:
- 2+ years of experience with Workday Adaptive
- 3+ years of experience in Finance & IT
Preferred:
- Good understanding of the Insurance industry, terminology and associated accounting standards.
- “Workday Adaptive Platform” Certified (need not be currently active)
- Any Workday Financials or Workday Prism certifications or experience
- Certified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or Part Qualified Accountant with industry experience
