About the role:
As a crucial member of the Claims Governance & Reporting Team, you will be accountable for delivering high-quality, timely, and accurate reporting and management information (MI) to support key decision-making processes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Head of Claims Governance and Reporting in producing comprehensive board, committee, and management meeting packs, as well as designing and generating insightful MI reports and dashboards.
Core Accountabilities
- Deliver accurate, timely reports and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyse claims data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate on reporting strategies that meet business and regulatory standards.
- Support system changes and projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all reporting outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, structure, and analyse client data to ensure consistency and accessibility.
- Validate metrics and enhance data quality for accurate reporting.
- Produce claims portfolio analysis, including root cause and performance insights.
- Lead data flow projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as product owner for claims analytics tools and develop project roadmaps.
- Use statistical tools to identify patterns for diagnostic and predictive analysis.
- Support audits, due diligence, and regulatory reporting, including loss runs.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives (e.g. conduct risk, KPIs, consumer duty).
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Strong skills in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Azure DevOps, VBA, and DAX
- Experience in data transformation and dashboard development
- Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance and delegated claims oversight
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience in project and product ownership
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, change-driven environment
Desired:
- Familiarity with SQL, R, or other statistical tools
- Exposure to market systems and delegated claims MI (BDX/Audit/Due Diligence)
- Multilingual skills are a plus
Regulatory & Conduct Requirements:
- Understanding the responsibilities and adhering to the requirements of undertaking in an FCA/PRA regulatory environment
- Ensuring compliance with Insurance Distribution Directive
- Satisfying all claims-related regulatory reporting requirements in collaboration with the reporting function
- Ensuring compliance with Munich Re’s Code of Conduct and the FCA’s Conduct Rules
