Summary of Position
Working directly with the CEO and the Executive team to drive key strategic growth initiatives and maximize efficiencies so that BMS is in optimum position to realize its vision of becoming the leading global direct independent specialty reinsurance broker.
This role primarily serves to empower BMS Re to succeed, oversee core projects and facilitate communication to allow the CEO to focus their efforts on shaping the overall direction of BMS Re and deliver on its roll forward plan.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Act as an extension of the CEO and work closely with the executive management team to determine strategic priorities and ensure actionable plans are delivered;
- Build and develop relationships across all levels for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness;
- Coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives to ensure they are executed effectively and within established timelines;
- Lead and manage special projects or initiatives. This may include developing business cases and implementing change management strategies;
- Support the executive management team in tracking key performance indicators, monitoring progress towards goals, and identifying areas for improvement;
- Act as a trusted advisor, provide necessary data and analysis for informed decision-making, and manage the flow of information within the leadership team;
- Assess enquiries directed to the CEO and determine the proper course of action and delegate them to the appropriate individual(s) to manage;
- Work closely with Marketing & Communications in the management of all CEO related communications;
- Help the CEO coordinate Investor management and communications;
- Build and nurture relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and industry experts on behalf of the executive management team;
- When needed, represent the CEO at events, conferences, and meetings, and identify collaboration opportunities to advance BMS Re vision and goals.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required in Role:
- Proven leadership ability;
- Experience in planning and leading (global) strategic initiatives;
- Industry experience in Reinsurance, Intermediary, Financial Services, or Insurance is required;
- Diligent, reliable, accurate and thorough with a keen eye for detail;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration;
- Proven ability to influence and persuade with strong negotiation skills;
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities;
- Effective decision-making expertise with the ability to resolve complex problems;
- Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
- Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions;

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide marker range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary advanced to the desired candidate will be based on a number of factors, including geographic location and the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the desired candidate.
