Product Manager

You will be part of the technology team, the engine room of the business, delivering bespoke systems that give CFC its competitive edge in a dynamic and fast-paced marketplace. As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying and solving real business problems by translating strategic and customer needs into actionable product solutions. You will work on high-impact initiatives that improve efficiency, enhance user experience, and support business growth and profitability.

You will take ownership of a defined product, managing and prioritising the product backlog in alignment with the broader product vision and roadmap. This involves working closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs, gather feedback, and balance competing priorities. Your focus will be on delivering measurable value by making data-informed decisions and ensuring product changes align with business objectives.

You will be responsible for defining features and epics, and breaking them down into testable, deliverable user stories that are clearly understood by the development team. You will support the design of customer-centric solutions, collaborating closely with engineers and QA to ensure requirements are well-defined and implemented effectively. You will participate fully in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous feedback and alignment across teams.

About the role

Within this role, you will be expected to lead stakeholder engagement sessions to elicit, algin and prioritise product requirements ensuring a clear understanding of business goals, customer needs and technical constraints. You will also:
  • Conduct robust analysis and documentation to inform product decisions, ensuring all deliverables meet defined deadlines and maintain a high standard of clarity and quality.
  • Understand and articulate the “why” behind each epic and feature, consistently focusing on delivering business value and aligning product efforts to broader strategic objectives.
  • Work with the team to develop, refine, and prioritise epics, features, and user stories. Ensure that backlog items are well-defined, testable, and deliverable within a sprint.
  • Own and maintain a healthy development backlog, actively participating in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and delivery momentum.

About you

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in product management within a dynamic and innovative environment, preferably in the insurance or fintech sector, and will be eager to step into a role with broad ownership, exposure, and opportunity in a growing business.

You understand the value of iterative delivery, customer feedback loops, and cross-functional collaboration, and are comfortable challenging traditional ways of working to drive better outcomes. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable navigating both strategic and operational problem spaces, being able to define the right business solution whether it involves product development or not.
