We have an opportunity for a Senior Risk Officer to join our Risk department on a 12-month fixed term contract here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management and will support the effective running of the risk management department, including the management of deadlines and forward planning for a strong risk identification, assessment and reporting process. You will manage direct reports and perform regular performance reviews, as well as provide training throughout the business and to share best practice with regards to all aspects of risk management.
The role includes responsibility for assisting the Head of Function in areas such as the development, implementation, administration and compliance with the company’s risk framework and risk management processes and procedures, as well as annual reviews and updates of risk frameworks and policies. You will also support the planning and conducting of the quarterly risk and control self-assessment process, in addition to the conducting of the ORSA process including the production of quarterly and annual reports. In addition to this, you will also be expected to develop and maintain the risk register, ensuring that it is up to date and holds risk data to the appropriate level of detail and is properly used within the business.
The successful candidate will have extensive professional experience and will be educated to a degree level or hold an equivalent/appropriate professional qualification. Highly developed knowledge of the risk exposures of the organisation is essential for this role. The successful candidate will also ideally have experience in working within the London market and will also have solid knowledge of accounting and financial environments. We are looking for someone with excellent inter-personal and communication skills, strong project management skills, discussion leading skills and problem solving skills.
