Role Description
The Purpose of this role is to support the Actuarial Function Team with reporting at the Allianz Holdings level which includes IFRS and Solvency II reporting, insurance risk modelling and Solvency II business planning.
The role is hybrid home / office working with office working being based in Guildford or London office. The role can accommodate part time working (4 days a week).
Key accountabilities:
Supports the Senior Actuary in a selection of the following activities:
- Leading and developing a team consisting of Analysts.
- The production and review, monitoring and communication of IFRS / SII reserves at Allianz Holdings level at various committees.
- The production of Solvency II reporting including the Actuarial Function report and disclosures.
- Actuarial input into IFRS disclosures.
- Actuarial input into Solvency II business planning and forecasting.
- Annual insurance risk modelling and ad hoc risk modelling support to inform decision making.
- Challenging and collaborating with key stakeholders including Accountants, Risk Actuaries, Allianz Group Actuarial and Risk teams.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Strong Excel skills – knowledge of ResQ and Igloo is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with actuarial reserving or capital modelling techniques and software.
- Strong communication (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with actuarial reserving or capital modelling techniques and software.

- General insurance experience in at least one of IFRS reserving, Solvency II technical Provisions and insurance risk modelling.
- Strong leadership and people management.
