An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance department of Home & Legacy Insurance Services Limited as a Financial Accountant, part of Allianz Group.
Home and Legacy is a Financial Conduct Authority regulated insurance intermediary. The principal activity of the Company is an intermediary insurance broker and underwriting agent specialising in the distribution of household insurance to the mid to high net worth market. The Company is in run off and will be closed in 2024. The Financial Accountant will then move into Allianz Central Finance team.
The Financial Accountant position offers the right candidate the opportunity to contribute to the day to day running of the Finance department, as well as to improve their technical and business skills within the brokerage industry. This role reports into the Finance Controller and has no direct reports.
Production of monthly Management Accounts, with full ownership of Acturis general ledger. Preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statement, accruals and prepayment journals, and month-end ledger close.
Production of financial and non-financial KPI’s pack for monthly Senior Management Group meetings and quarterly Board meetings.
Complete quarterly VAT, IPT and FCA returns.
Prepare monthly Revenue reports, revenue reconciliations.
Bank reconciliations of company and IBA bank accounts and monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Daily claims and invoices payment processing.
Assist with year-end audit.
Fully qualified ACCA/ CIMA, with proven experience working ideally in financial services.
Strong experience in the preparation of Management Accounts, KPIs and variance analysis & commentaries.
Proficient Microsoft Excel and other MS Office packages. Experience of using Acturis accounting software is highly desirable.
Keen to take initiative and hands on active team player.
