Overview
We currently have an opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join our Legal Entity Control team in Glasgow.
The team are responsible for preparing statutory accounts for numerous legal entities within the UK Group structure, delivery of board reports and reports to the regulator.
In this role you will work closely with all areas of our UK business to ensure delivery of accurate statutory accounts, board reports, FCA reports and other accounting tasks whilst gaining an understanding of the core processes.
How you'll make an impact
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Work closely with external auditors
- Preparation of quarterly board reporting
- FCA regulatory reporting
- Impairment calculations
- Earn out calculations
- Technical accounting papers
- Ensure compliance with internal controls
- Review reconciliations of Balance sheet and Profit & Loss accounts
- Ad-hoc projects (such as changes to UK GAAP FRS 102, National Statistic requests)
About you
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent)
- UK GAAP/US GAAP experience preferable
- Experience gained within a large accounting/audit firm is desirable
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
