Job Title: Regulatory Reporting Manager
Division: Finance
Reports To: As per Beazley’s organisation chart
Key Relationships: Finance team, business planning team, actuarial team, compliance team, external and internal auditors, senior management, and regulators.
Job Summary: Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Reporting and managing a team of direct reports, this role is primarily responsible for the delivery of Lloyd’s reporting for the Group but may also play a role in developing the wider regulatory reporting team, including Solvency II reporting.
The Regulatory Reporting Manager is a key Lloyd’s technical resource to the business, working both within Finance and across the business, with responsibility for all regulatory reporting reviews and technical matters.
Key Responsibilities
Lloyd’s specific
- Manage the delivery of all regulatory reporting to Lloyd’s including QMA, QMB, MAS, Labuan, US & CAD SITUS, NAIC, Distribution Data and TPD returns.
- Support the review of, and provide technical challenge to, the GQD and PMDr reporting.
- Continuously review the processes used to produce reporting in order to improve efficiency and the quality of the control environment.
- Attend all appropriate industry and Lloyd’s market workshops to keep up to date with all technical developments.
- Lead, with the support of the Head of Regulatory reporting, on the implementation of Lloyd’s reporting rationalisation changes.
- Proactively enhance analytical capabilities, ensuring a wholistic view on the performance of the Lloyd’s syndicates.
- Maintenance of reporting tools to ensure they continue to be fit for purpose.
- Monitor the continued development of underlying systems to resolve reporting data deficiencies.
Other responsibilities
- Responsible for the involvement of the Lloyd’s Reporting team in Beazley’s modernisation programme, ensuring the team’s readiness for any change to finance systems.
- Provide technical support to the business in relation to Lloyd’s reporting and accounting.
- Research technical accounting / regulatory issues to ensure reporting compliance.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating technical documentation, ranging from production process/procedure notes to reporting policies.
- Responsible for the maintenance of all appropriate internal controls over Lloyd’s regulatory reporting.
- Manage external and internal audit relationships.
- Prepare committee and board papers.
- Lead / present at all internal regulatory review committees.
- Manage the workload and development of the team.
- Develop a structure to cross train within the team to provide resilience.
- Support the Head of Regulatory Reporting on other finance reporting requirements/projects as required.
Solvency II specific
- Support the development of the Solvency II regulatory reporting team and help manage peak workloads across the two teams.

Personal Specification:
Education and Qualifications
- Strong academic track record
- University degree in any discipline
- Professional accountancy qualification, preference for ACA/ACCA
Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of Lloyd’s regulatory reporting requirements
- Highly technical in accountancy skills, especially UK GAAP and IFRS
- Understanding of Solvency II reporting requirements
- Strong Insurance and Lloyd’s specific knowledge

- Proven post qualification experience, gained within regulatory reporting in the Lloyd’s market, and the wider insurance sector
