Purpose of Role
Lead in the internal exception reporting and monitoring of Asta managed Clients. Assist in the execution of Asta’s Underwriting Control Framework and the Asta Independent Peer Review process.
Key Tasks
- Reviewing Asta Client data for compliance with underwriting authorities, underwriting guidelines and provide reports for the Board
- Provide assistance on the control framework activities undertaken by Asta on behalf of the Asta managed clients ensuring that all underwriting control documents are current.
- Provide administrative support for the Independent Peer Review function including populating the database, preparing report templates and producing regular and ad hoc management reports
- Lead the monitoring of data quality on MGA Client underwriting and checking that data has been recorded accurately and compiling the results into a report.
- Monitor and record underwriting referrals to Underwriting Management received from Asta Clients
- Assist in the production of regular and ad hoc management information reporting as required.

Key technical skills and experiencerofessional qualifications required
- At least 6 months of insurance experience and working in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (or similar) programs, particularly Word and Excel.
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade B or above (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of the structure and content of the various types of Underwriting Contracts used in the Lloyd’s Market.
- Prior use of Lloyd’s systems including Crystal and Risk locator tool, useful.
- Good analytical skills, disciplined approach to work tasks and the ability to complete tasks within a specified timeframe. Also, collaborative interaction with colleagues and reporting to management and interfacing with clients.
- Good communication skills, ability to think innovatively and responsively interact with all stakeholders.
- Progress towards or willingness to undertake ACII qualification.
