We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Data Product Manager to help our data products come to life and support our Specialty teams deliver customer value and business growth. As a Data Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of the Specialty Data Product Landscape, ensuring focus, prioritization, usability, scalability, and overall success in driving results for our teams and clients.
How you'll make an impact
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including various teams and departments, to understand their data products, needs, pain points, and priorities.
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning it with Gallagher Re's strategic objectives.
- Lead the data product development process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
- Coach Analytics teams and other stakeholders on Agile Delivery Processes and guide them to optimize results.
- Translate user needs into clear and actionable product requirements, including user stories, functional specifications, and wireframes.
- Gather feedback from users, stakeholders, and internal teams to inform product enhancements and updates.
- Monitor usage and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Act as the subject matter expert for the specialty data products, providing training and support to users as needed.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company's internal processes and workflows to effectively align the portal with business needs.
About you
- Proven experience in product development and agile methodologies.
- Previous experience working with Specialty Insurance products such as Marine, Aviation, Cyber would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Resilience and pragmatism around adapting the Agile process to what is available.
- Solid project management skills, including prioritisation, time management, and delivering results within deadlines.
- Strategic mindset and ability to think creatively and critically about product opportunities.
- Experience using data, analytics, and AI cloud technologies on either Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS. The team will use Azure.
- Data or software engineering experience
- Insurance / actuarial experience
- Experience with modern geospatial analytics
