We have the opportunity for an Assistant Claims Manager – Casualty to join our Claims department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to the Head of Casualty Claims and will have responsibility to ensure that delivery of the TMK Claims service is carried out in a way that fully meets customer expectations, both through direct claims handling and that provided by service providers.
The role responsibilities include:
- Delivery, through personal ownership and via the team, of a first-class service to all customers.
- Management of a portfolio of claims, primarily of a more complex nature. This may be achieved through personal ownership and by oversight of Senior Claims Adjusters and/or Claims Adjusters.
- Ensuring that the principles of conduct risk are fully understood, embedded, and practised by all members of the team and external service suppliers.
- Management of direct reports, setting and monitoring of team members’ appraisals and objectives to support delivery of the TMK Claims Business Plan, to include personal training and development.
- Assisting the Head of Casualty Claims and Claims Management Group in ensuring that all claims presented are handled in accordance with the highest professional standards, cost effectively and meeting all relevant SLA’s.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience handling and leading international casualty claims in the Lloyd’s market and experience of managing people or mentoring. A Law degree or ACII desirable for this role. We are looking for someone who has the ability to foster and maintain excellent business relationships, generating credibility with both internal and external key stakeholders. Language skills (particularly Spanish) are also desirable for this role.
