Key Relationships: Exposure Management Team, Underwriters, Data Management, Ceded Reinsurance, Risk Management, Capital Modelling, Other Staff, Brokers and Coverholders.
Business Supported: Cyber & Specialty Risks
Job Summary: Work closely with the Senior Exposure Analysts to manage and monitor a wide range of business projects including, but not limited, to:
- Preparing data for all regular exposure reporting, including a focus on exposures from Beazley’s recent partnership with Ki Insurance.
- Updating and monitoring Realistic Disaster Scenarios (RDS).
- Developing processes and systems to record exposure data.
- Reviewing existing data and working proactively with the relevant teams to improve data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Senior Exposure Analysts and the relevant underwriters to provide analytics and research that enable the business to make informed decisions regarding exposure risk and aggregations.
- Take primary responsibility for performing data preparation and analysis activities for Cyber & Speciality Risks exposures.
- Work with the Senior Exposure Analysts to help develop and implement improved data management and reporting processes for exposure data, particularly for data coming from Beazley's recent partnership with Ki Insurance.
- Work with the relevant underwriters to understand the individual business units’ portfolios, needs and business plans.
- Assist in collating exposure data from source systems to calculate Realistic Disaster Scenarios (RDS).
- Assist in preparing data for third-party vendor software.
- Reporting of exposures including current and planned to Underwriting teams and Committees.
- Be familiar with the relevant Beazley source data systems.
- Interact with the underwriting support functions, (e.g. claims, risk, compliance, data management) to source information when necessary.
- Share and gather knowledge within the Beazley Group to ensure dissemination of best practice.

This may include, amongst others, Beazley’s underwriting control standards, Beazley’s claims control standards, other Beazley standards and customer relationship management.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system. These may include membership of any Beazley committees or working groups.
Personal Specification:
Education and Qualifications
- Educated to A Level or equivalent.
- Degree in any discipline – preferred but not essential.
Skills and Abilities
- Accurate and numerate.
- Computer skills – good working knowledge of MS Office, advanced Excel skills.
- SQL skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Knowledge and Experience
- Insurance experience desirable.
- Knowledge of the relevant business line desirable.
