The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, cybersecurity, and actuarial science. As a Cyber Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in analysing cyber risk data, developing models, and providing insights that support our clients in managing and mitigating cyber risks.
About the role
This is a super varied role. Amongst other things, you’ll be spending your time:
- Analysing and interpreting large sets of cyber risk data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Developing and maintaining actuarial models for assessing cyber risks and their financial impacts.
- Collaborating with the actuary team to integrate cyber risk analysis into broader risk management frameworks.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of data-driven solutions to improve cyber risk assessment
- Conducting in-depth research on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and their potential impact on clients.
- Preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in cybersecurity and data analytics.
About you
So what are we looking for? Well, we're really keen to learn more about your previous experience in Cyber Security, and hearing about your passion for data and statistics.
We will be looking out for candidates with (not all but some of) the following credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Cybersecurity, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the cybersecurity or insurance sectors.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Excel.
- Familiarity with actuarial principles and techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, threat analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
