Introduction
As Amwins Global Risks (AGR) continues to grow and evolve, we are looking for an HR Business Partner based in our London or Cheltenham office. Our HRBPs are the primary partners providing guidance, coaching and advice to people leaders and teams. They act as the frontline consultants in support of talent management practices, including onboarding, performance management, development, team health and facilitate the understanding and implementation of the AGR culture. Key focus areas for the HRBP are to increase leadership capability, provide excellent support to the business and facilitate leader education and engagement on key people programs, tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Coaching Managers: Provide guidance and support to managers, enhancing their leadership capabilities and ensuring effective team management.
- Employee Relations: Provide advice and guidance to managers and business leaders on the management of complex ER cases with a focus on resolution and maintaining a positive work environment. This may include performance management, terminations, leaves of absences, etc., in partnership with the Employment Legal and Employee Services team.
- Talent Management: Drive talent management programs focused on enhancing leadership and management capabilities, increasing talent density, and promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Organization Health: Evaluate employee sentiment and provide guidance and coaching to people leaders to improve overall team effectiveness and organizational health.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders. Capable of navigating complexities and influencing these stakeholders effectively to successfully drive HR initiatives.
- Understanding and application of the Culture: Develop a deep understanding of the AGR business and culture, serving as a role model and advocate for the company's values.
- HR Generalist Duties: Handle a range of HR activities, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR team.
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications
- Proven track record as a HR Business Partner within the financial services industry, preferably insurance.
- Knowledge of UK financial services regulations, particularly SM&CR and Conduct Rules.
- Strong business acumen and ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders.
- Commercial mindset and the ability to manage firm risk with best-in-class Human Capital solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill and ability to deliver difficult messages with confidence.
- Proficiency in project management and execution skills to drive HR initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure with strong organizational skills.
- Trusted advisor to senior management who can coach, motivate, and direct employees and managers to meet desired objectives.
- Exercise good judgment, a high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Note: Circa 20% Travel will be required to either London or Cheltenham
