Kennedys is looking for an Internal Communications Advisor to join our Global Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) function and be part of our Marketing & Communications team. The successful candidate will work with the closely with the Internal Communications Manager and other members of the communications team to deliver the firm's global communications strategy.

Team
Our BD&M team promotes Kennedys' services and supports the firm's global growth ambition and our key clients and markets.
There are four distinct functions: Pursuits, Clients and Markets, Marketing Technology & Data, and Marketing & Communications, where this role sits.
The Marketing & Communications team in the UK encompasses the following sub-teams - brand and design, communications, digital, events, marketing campaigns and publications.
These functions support the BD&M community across five regions – APAC, EMEA, LATAM, UK and US. Our global team members are located across the UK, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Perth, Singapore, Sydney and the US.
Key Responsibilites
- In a newly created role, work with the Internal Communications Manager to deliver a global communications strategy that supports the Firm's vision, values and growth plans.
- Assist the Internal Communications Manager in delivering a cadence of monthly and quarterly newsletters, meetings and events which equip colleagues with the knowledge, connections and inspiration they need to deliver on our vision.
- Suggest and deliver innovative approaches to improve engagement across our internal channels e.g., intranet, email, video
- Use storytelling techniques to develop valuable, people-focused content that helps colleagues deliver on our vision.
- Build relationships globally, suggesting best practice including cohesive messaging and the development of cascade mechanisms.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of an effective communications infrastructure of tools and channels that enable flexible, agile and creative communication, reflecting our brand, tone of voice and style guide.
- Manage intranet content on a daily basis, supporting and motivating the community of intranet champions and editors, and upholding standards and governance.
Required experience
- Internal communications experience within a large, diverse, multi-region or global organisation preferable. Legal or professional services experience an advantage.
- Excellent copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills with the ability to distil large amounts of information for diverse audiences.
- Experience of managing intranet content as well as briefing content into creative teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to advise and influence colleagues and stakeholders, building relationships at all levels.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365, particularly SharePoint, as well as complementary digital tools.
- Effective project and time management skills; able to multitask and prioritise work in a fast-paced complex environment, working to tight deadlines.
