Lead Pricing Analyst - Standard Car: Are you ready to influence the future growth and profitability of a leading insurance company? As a Lead Pricing Analyst at Ageas, you will plan and deliver pricing projects to high standards, using sophisticated actuarial and statistical techniques. Your work will directly impact our business’s volume and profit, and you’ll play a crucial role in building pricing capability within our team.
Main Responsibilities as Lead Pricing Analyst - Standard Car:
- Manage, develop, and coach a team of Pricing Analysts and Senior Pricing Analysts.
- Develop, validate, review, and approve predictive and machine learning models.
- Ensure the delivery of accurate datasets for modelling, pricing, and monitoring.
- Maintain and develop pricing models, supporting their deployment.
- Conduct pricing analyses and prepare recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Oversee rate releases and review rates in live environments.
- Combine MI, modelling results, and company targets to develop a balanced view of pricing performance.
- Coordinate pricing decisions and implementation across teams.
- Manage price positioning and competitor analysis to optimize Ageas’ competitive positioning.
- Inform and influence senior management and heads of department.
- Deputize for the Senior Pricing Manager when required.
Skills and experience you need as Lead Pricing Analyst - Standard Car:
- Degree in a numerical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in insurance pricing or a related analytical field.
- Proficient in programming languages such as SAS, R, Matlab, or Python.
- Skilled in predictive modelling techniques like Logistic Regression, GLMs, GBMs, and more.
- Experience with Emblem and Radar is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to solve complex business problems.
- Effective coaching and development of junior staff.
- Ability to influence colleagues at all levels, including senior management.
- Excellent communication skills to convey statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences.
- Self-motivated with strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
