Senior Business Analyst
This Senior Business Analyst role will be an integral member of the delivery team working closely with stakeholders across the business to support delivery of outcomes to drive business value.
Facilitation and translation of business requirements into easily understandable deliverables along with mapping out future state processes and operating models is key to ensuring successful outcomes.
Understanding technology landscapes and vendors across eco-systems with varying degrees of complexity will be required in determining appropriate solutions to fit requirements.
Ability to adapt to all different sizes and types of projects will be essential as you help our partners and internal stakeholders navigate their way through all elements of new processes and ways of working, business case creation, ideation and feasibility.
Responsibilities
- Capture, define, prioritise, document and explain business requirements based on project objectives and outcomes
- Work in alignment with external partners ways of working including specific tools e.g. JIRA/Confluence/DevOps
- Provide expertise across eco-system builds including any technical integrations and liaison with third party providers where applicable
- Contribute to product roadmaps and backlog refinement/ requirements/story elaboration
- Responsible for mapping of end to end customer journey and process flows to support target state operating models
- Produce and manage requirements/user stories and acceptance criteria
- Ensure interfaces between all partners, service providers and internal stakeholders are understood, meet requirements and work seamlessly through extensive testing (where required)
- Support internal project workstreams with elaborating requirements encompassing product, pricing, finance, operations, data and all touchpoints of a customer journey
- Work in alignment with testing colleagues to define test scope and strategy and support with test execution where required
- Plus any additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role.
- Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
Knowledge and skills
- Insurance experience, including reinsurance.
- Aware of contractual obligations in relation to TPAs.
- Knowledge of the insurance market and how eco-systems are structured within it
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to switch between strategic level and a detailed level.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience conforming product definition to regulatory compliance requirements
- Business Analysis qualifications (IIBA, ISEB, CBAP, IREB).
Hybrid working – Commutable distance to London, Manchester or Birmingham local office.
