Overview

A Senior Account Manager has primary responsibility for the management of client accounts. You will focus on the accurate and timely delivery of work, ensuring commercial success for both client and agency. This is the ideal role for someone who is motivated and talented in building client relationships and managing multiple projects to tight deadlines.

How you'll make an impact

Client Delivery:

Coordinate and assist clients with planning, setting goals and objectives, and establishing timelines
Participate actively in client calls and run and control client meetings e.g. take a central role in discussions on specific materials you are responsible for
Carry out regular client reviews to optimise ways of working
Develop, implement, and manage project plans in conjunction with the client
Initiate and promote continuous improvement of procedures, processes, standards to gain cost effectiveness and efficiency and execute implementation
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Meet regularly with clients’ team to plan and progress activity
Support the growth of our communications offer through opportunities to farm clients
Manage the level of service provided to assigned accounts to meet revenue, profitability and retention goals and client expectations
Develop and deliver detailed, accurate and timely revenue forecasts to principal consultants
Ensure that clients are aware of all the services the commas practice can offer

Relationships:

Build strong relationships and own day-to-day account, project and stakeholder management and effective project implementation.
Brief creative teams in a simple, concise way, ensuring, at all times, that they are fully aware of the client’s requirements and have a written brief
Assist where possible with the coaching and development of more junior members of the team for example, Account Executives and Account Managers
Proactively support your manager, suggesting new ideas and questioning thinking where appropriate
Build and maintain relationships with creative, operations and the wider team including suppliers
Mitigate project conflicts by proactively seeking outcomes that are acceptable to all stakeholders.

Administration:

Weekly completion and distribution of client status reports during live projects.
Completion and distribution of contact reports within 48hrs of a client meeting.
Ensure all jobs have a statement of work approved by internal stakeholders and the client.
Accurately record all chargeable and non-chargeable time.
Case study creation
Liaise with suppliers to chase invoices for the monthly invoicing process, where required

About You

Technical Knowledge

Competent technical specialist in internal communications or marketing, reward and benefits.
Specific experience in project management, problem solving skills, sound judgement, strong decision-making ability, confidence to make difficult decisions
Excellent communication skills

Experience

Creative agency, marketing, communications, consultancy or HR communication experience required.

Skills/other

Strong organisational, management and account planning skills with analytical skills and strong attention to detail
Work in a fast moving agency team environment with a high degree of complexity while also being able to operate independently and provide appropriate information and direction to other colleagues
Provide effective, accurate, clear communication to internal team members and clients
Ability to lead team development and motivate others
Excellent troubleshooting, decision making and problem-solving skills
Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills •
Ability to multitask and successfully operate in a fast-paced work environment; prioritise projects and meet deadlines
