Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join Allianz Engineering Inspection Services Ltd (AEIS).

Underwriters are the first point of contact for all customers of the Engineering Inspection Services. To work as part of this successful and dynamic branch, you will be customer focussed and team oriented in order to deliver an excellent customer journey.

Your main role is to meet all business targets in relation to Inspection products for the UK region. The servicing of Broker and Client accounts within your own panel and ensuring you underwrite within defined parameters in a consistent and profitable manner.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the Manchester office per week.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £30,000 per year.

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

On a daily basis, you'll ensure customer satisfaction by building rapport and provide excellent service to external and internal customers and in the long term, ensure customer new business growth and retention you will:
Build strong relationships with brokers, including attending virtual & face-to face meetings, negotiating effectively, and providing excellent customer service at all times
Handle general customers' queries via the telephone and in writing within agreed service standards.
Underwrite existing business and mid-term adjustments including analysis and compilation of data for referral.
Negotiate within authority and referring where appropriate to maximise customer growth including persuading, influencing and convincing customers of the benefits of an opposed course of action.
