Role Overview

Bell & Clements is looking for a Transformation and Engagement Manager to join our Operations Department. This role involves leading a wide range of strategic initiatives on behalf of executive sponsors within the organization. The successful candidate will have experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large, complex projects. They will need a strong foundation in operations and industry knowledge to independently drive their work and orchestrate the actions of others. This role is integral to delivering Bell & Clements’ operational transformation strategy and will contribute directly to the company’s operating and financial outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Transformation: Drive and implement process improvements across the business.
Project Leadership: Identify and lead transformation initiatives on behalf of executive sponsors.
Process & Technology Solutions:Lead cross-functional transformation projects, managing internal and external consultants and analysts.
Design and deliver solutions related to operating models, process improvements, technology assessments, and automation opportunities.
Change Management: Develop and implement strategies to support organizational changes, including target operating model design, benchmarking, and solution implementation.
Communication & Collaboration:Facilitate cross-functional communication and influence outcomes across underwriting, claims, actuarial, analytics, product development, operations, finance, risk, and compliance teams.
Deliver clear project documentation, business cases, and ROI reporting.
Continuous Improvement:Utilize methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, or similar for process enhancement.
Manage product backlogs and sprint plans for continuous improvement efforts.
Accountability: Establish operational metrics, monitor execution, and report results for new opportunities or changes in existing processes.
Problem Solving: Resolve critical issues and ensure progress throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills and Experience

Leadership & Communication:Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
Process & Change Management:Experience in operating model design, process flow creation, and documentation (e.g., using Visio or similar tools).
Strong background in leading change management initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to implement innovative solutions and measure ROI.
Organizational & Time Management:Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
Technology & Innovation:Tech-savvy with a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience using process improvement frameworks and automation tools.
