Due to continued growth we have a new opportunity to join one of the largest E&O teams in London. Our award winning team of 19 are market leaders for SME business, solely focussed on writing Professional Liability driven business in North America. We have a broad distribution network - Insure over 10,000 clients on the team and see over 40,000 submissions a year.

The team work on package policy solutions meaning that whilst E&O is the fundamental line of coverage, we also underwrite CGL, Property, Legal Expenses, Cyber and D&O giving a broad range of exposure. We work with a range of professional service firms from engineers to contractors to miscellaneous professional firms both in the traditional and emerging sectors.

About the role

You will consider professions insurance needs from a holistic perspective by writing multiple classes of insurance (E&O, CGL, property and business interruption, cyber, legal expenses, D&O). You will be involved in all aspects of underwriting including new business and renewal underwriting for Professional Liability driven business in North America. In this role you will be Underwriting and dealing with Brokers from day one but training and support will be provided with other underwriters to understand the products on offer, appetite, broker base etc.

Underwriting new business and renewals
Respond to and manage enquiries from brokers in a timely and professional manner, producing new and renewals quotations within agreed SLAs;
Proactively develop and seek out new business opportunities, building strong broker relationships (both face to face and over phone) to
Able to contribute to initiatives within the team and at group level
Deliver internal and external presentations on CFC products, key trends and emerging exposures;

About you

We’re looking for driven self starters who enjoy a varied working environment and are keen to continue to develop their skill set. You will have 3 - 5 years of underwriting or broking experience in a professional liability role, preferably with multi-class underwriting exposure. Experience with US or international business would be an advantage.

You will have a sales focus and be keen to join an ambitious and driven team. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills, who is keen to interact with international brokers over the phone/face to face to secure new and renewal business.
