About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic consultant with deep expertise in general insurance pricing, analytics, and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have a strong international background, advanced technical skills, and proven leadership to drive strategic initiatives and innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Execution: Shape and implement client strategies in Pricing, Analytics, Claims, and Portfolio Management. Develop adaptable consulting services, focusing on monetization and meeting diverse client needs
- Business Development: Identify new pricing-driven business opportunities, expand into underpenetrated markets, and lead consultative selling. Present Munich Re's value proposition to C-suite executives
- Service Offering & Delivery: Provide comprehensive pricing and analytics solutions, including risk modelling, product definition, technical pricing, and profitability improvement. Consult primary insurers and MGAs on end-to-end pricing solutions, such as model reviews, underwriting strategies, and pricing governance
- Data & Insights: Gather detailed data to enhance portfolio insights and help clients improve their business understanding
- Thought Leadership: Lead internal and external thought leadership initiatives. Conduct pricing surveys, webinars, and social media engagement, sharing insights on best practices. Stay updated on industry trends and deliver cutting-edge research
- Partnership Management: Oversee partnerships with third-party actuarial software providers like Akur8, Earnix, and WTW
- Center of Competence: Act as the Center of Competence for primary pricing within the RI Group, ensuring best practices and providing peer reviews for pricing initiatives
- Team Leadership: Coordinate a global team of ~20 experts across seven locations, managing resources effectively and maintaining high-level expertise across all teams

Key Skills & Experience:
- Consulting Expertise: Extroverted, high-calibre consultant with multi-year experience in primary insurance, ideally within a global P&C function
- Domain Knowledge: Solid international experience in general insurance (strategy, pricing, products) with knowledge of Digital Solutions (UW Technology, Risk Solutions, Data Solutions). Reinsurance expertise is a plus
- Pricing Skills: Proficient in actuarial/statistical methods (GLM, GBM, Random Forest), data-wrangling (SAS, R, Python), and pricing software (Emblem, Earnix, Akur8). Expertise in Auto ML, price optimization, and portfolio management
- Consulting Experience: Analysis and pricing of large insurance portfolios, product design, and processes personal and commercial lines in P&C. Strong in ideation, design thinking, project management, and sales
- Leadership: Proven leadership in managing cross-cultural teams, with a focus on MR leadership values. Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
- Skills: Highly analytical with excellent written and spoken English; additional languages (Spanish, French) are desirable
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) in fields such as mathematics, statistics, or physics. Preferably a fellowship in a recognised actuarial society

Regulatory & Conduct Requirements:
In addition to the responsibilities set out above, the Lead for General Insurance Pricing & PACP Domain role will also become responsible for:
- Ensure compliance with Insurance Distribution Directive
- Ensuring compliance with Munich Re’s Code of Conduct and the FCA Conduct Rules
