Job Description: Conduct Risk Officer
How does this role contribute to our collective success?
The AXIS Conduct Risk team are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team to support the Conduct Risk Manager and the Insurance business in driving forward a strong conduct culture to deliver good outcomes for customers/policyholders and ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.
A key aspect of this role is building and maintaining effective relationships with the underwriting teams to provide guidance and support and ensure ongoing engagement.
What will you do in this role?
- Support the operation of the firm’s Conduct Risk and Product Governance Framework by maintaining, developing, and enhancing procedures related to conduct risk management.
- Undertake conduct risk assessments on individual underwriting arrangements, providing constructive feedback to the business on necessary changes, and ensuring all actions from the assessments are completed promptly and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with Underwriting teams to prepare accurate information for the Conduct Risk Group, take minutes during meetings, and ensure all actions are closed.
- Monitor and analyse Conduct MI, identifying trends or issues, and ensuring they are communicated and addressed appropriately within the business.
- Work with the Underwriting units to review AXIS’s insurance products, collaborating with the Claims, Complaints, and Compliance functions, and incorporating relevant MI.
- Assist in the operation of the Product Working Group, preparing relevant MI, contributing to meetings, and helping to drive product improvements.
- Liaise with the AXIS Compliance team to provide a unified response to the business regarding regulatory requirements.
- Produce and present conduct-related management information that facilitates oversight of the firm's products and underwriting arrangements.
- Support the Conduct Risk Manager in the effective functioning of the Conduct Risk Group and the Conduct Committee, assisting in the preparation of meeting packs, minuting meetings, and driving the completion of actions.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, relevant to the Conduct department.

What you need to have:
- Conduct risk experience within the Lloyd’s/London insurance market or General Insurance
- Working knowledge of insurance industry practices and the current FCA regulatory requirements
- Knowledge and experience in Conduct MI analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively, including on technical concepts.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust by operating with integrity and professionalism
- Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
What we prefer you to have:
- As above, plus;
- Knowledge of the London/Lloyd’s market
- Proficient in using Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills
