Role Purpose:
Reporting directly to the LIC CUO, this role will be dedicated to ensuring the that LIC Underwriting Teams own governance controls (including but not limited to meetings, committees, action trackers, risk registers, policies & procedures) operate effectively, performing secretariat duties as required.
Furthermore the role will provide support to the CUO and more broadly across the LIC UW function to provide full administrative support to linkage to the Corporation.
The Role holder will be seen as a dedicated point of contact for administrative and organizational requirements of the LIC Underwriting team.
Principal Accountabilities:
Organising, preparing meeting packs, taking minutes and tracking actions (as applicable) for:
- LIC Underwriting Committee
- LIC Underwriting Team meetings
- LIC Claims and Conduct team meetings
- Collating information for reporting from across the LIC Underwriting team to prepare input for
- LIC ExCo
- Outsourcing committee
- Reserving Committee
- Data Management Committee
Collating information from the LIC UK Branch governance processes.
Support the CUO with preparation (including logistical) for CPG, MOG and BOC.
Collate and prepare data from across the Underwriting team to feed in to Corporation governance forums.
Liaise with LIC’s other function areas (including Risk, Compliance, Finance, HR and Market Development) to ensure timelines for requirements from the Underwriting Team are understood, managed and delivered.
Act as a Data Protection Champion for the Underwriting function.
Skills:
- Clear communication – both verbal and written.

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the structure of Lloyd’s and the Market
- Knowledge of insurance regulations in Europe, particularly IDD
Experience:
- Experience of secretariat duties in the financial services sector
- Experience of stakeholder management within financial services
- Sufficient technical knowledge and experience to meet the requirements to be qualified as “Responsible for Distribution” under Belgian law (or preparedness to obtain such in role)
