Role Purpose:
Provide project management expertise in the delivery of projects that will improve our business, our culture, and our ability to best serve our customers.
You will work with leaders and teams across our organisation to shape, develop and deliver projects and programmes aligned with LIC’s priorities. Projects will be wide-ranging from maturing our operating model, meeting regulatory requirements, delivering business growth initiatives or delivering new data / technology solutions (via our Lloyd’s corporation service provider, Group Technology).
Principal Accountabilities:
- Supporting the shaping of an enterprise-wide transformation plan to execute strategic activities
- Project management of programmes and projects to deliver business benefits and outcomes.
- Defining benefits and impacts on all parties of changes by carrying out cost benefit analysis and consultation work, supporting creation of the business case and methods to measure it.
- Stakeholder management, inc. briefings, track the progress of project activities and requirements.
- Producing all project deliverables including plans / status reports / presentations – strategic outcomes / updates.
- Proactive management of action tracking, risks / issues, and status reporting to SteerCo.
- Leading on communications for EA & Chage, e.g. Portfolio reporting to ExCo and events / offsites.
- Day to day support for business owners on governance, communication content development and engagement.
- Support the transformation, optimisation and continuous improvement of our data, processes, and technology.
- Adopting and applying appropriate change delivery strategies and standards as directed by the Corporation’s Transformation function.
- Supplier management (working alongside procurement) to ensure LIC receives value for services provided by corporation and external suppliers to achieve business outcomes.
Skills:
- Substantial project management and planning experience.
- Strong co-ordination and planning skills - needs to be able to pull the "many strands together".
- Very strong skills in relationship/stakeholder management with the ability to deliver concise, influential, and targeted content through many communication mediums.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive approach and prepared to “tackle issues”.
- Flexible and adaptable within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to think strategically as well as being able to focus on the detail.
- Ability to speak minimum one national language (Dutch or French) in addition to English. Knowledge of Dutch, French and English is an asset.
Knowledge:
- Extensive project management experience.
- Experience and knowledge of various project management methodologies and delivery models e.g., PRINCE, Agile, Product etc.
- Insurance market knowledge including Lloyd’s, London Market & International Markets and other financial services markets (beneficial).
Experience:
- Experience of working within the financial services, insurance or consultancy sectors is preferred.
- Extensive project management experience and successful project delivery in a transformation or business change context.
- Proven ability to operate, challenge and communicate at a senior level within an organisation.
- Experience in effectively managing organisations and people in a change environment.
- Commercially aware and experience of exercising costs / benefit analysis and building business cases.
- Knowledge and experience of Lloyd’s in both the London Market and Lloyd’s internationally (preferred but not essential)
- Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
