Kennedys Scotland provides full service litigation and pre-litigation support to Insurer and large corporate clients, advising on motor liability, employers liability, public liability, professional negligence, construction and medical negligence matters.
Key Responsibilities
- All administrative correspondence between Kennedys and the Scottish Courts
- Managing the Litigation/Motions Inbox
- Managing the diary for Court Timetables and Motions
- Collating Papers for lodging at Court (be it electronically or in hard copy)
- Collecting productions when required from the Court, Crown Office or other parties
- Such other related duties as may be required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Liaising with the Kennedys Scotland trainees to ensure holiday cover, as well as assisting with the development of their knowledge of the Scottish Court system.
General Duties
- Maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal clients and to assist in creating and developing the professional reputation of the department
- Understand and live by Kennedys values – approachable, straightforward, supportive and distinctive
- Be subject to varying degrees of supervision on a day-to-day basis
- Create and maintain professional and positive relationships with, clients, partners and employees
- Work in line with the Firm's Contribution Areas which are specific to role and level
- Maintain trust and confidentiality at all times
- Act as a Trusted Advisor by building relationships across business services to ensure a consistent approach and service
- Undertake any specific training as and when required by the HR Department, supervisor or Partners of the Firm
- Operate safely and considerately in the workplace.
