You will be the International Accountant in the London office. You will report to the International Reporting Manager, also based in the London office.
The role will assist on all finance matters of the international entities and will work closely with international colleagues in Stockholm, Belgium, Zurich, America and Bermuda.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist on all finance matters of UK and European entities as required.
- Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger for UK and European entities.
- Quarterly group reporting of European/UK entities under US GAAP and Local GAAP.
- Key finance contact for European/groupwide colleagues.
- Assist with financial deliveries to tax team
- Liaise with consultants for Belgium, Zurich and Sweden on local reporting requirements
- Assist with internal and external audit.
- Ensure compliance with external regulatory reporting and controls as well as internal SOx controls and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the systems for financial reporting, including the development of Workday processes and automation.
- To perform all duties in line with the FCA Individual Conduct Rules as documented in the Employee Handbook
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Full Professional Qualification – ACA, ACCA or similar
- Up to date knowledge of UK/US GAAP/IFRS
- Ability to work accurately and effectively while under pressure and with time constraints
- Ability to prioritise workload to manage conflicting priorities effectively
- Flexible with a willingness to roll up sleeves and be an active team member
- Confident with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge, including advanced Excel
