About the role:
As a Treaty broker, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with Global Clients on complex, large capacity global and multi-national placements
- Review of coverage, structuring and pricing in co-ordination with Actuarial and Analytics colleagues
- Collection and analysis of data necessary for the preparation of market submissions and presentations. Reviewing and quality check reinsurance documentation.
- Technical and strategic broking service in support of the Account Executive and wider client team in placing and servicing of Treaty Reinsurances, involving communication with both clients and reinsurers (in both London and international markets)
- Resolution of queries received from clients and reinsurers – liaising with colleagues within other departments and local offices as necessary
- Contributing to on-going client satisfaction, retention, and profitability
- Working on new business tenders / projects
- Working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company
About you:
Your knowledge and expertise:
- Technical (re)insurance knowledge
- 3-5 years experience in the broking/reinsurance industry
- Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
- Good level of IT competency (high level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in an environment where deadlines must be adhered to
- Have gained sales and marketing skills
- Strong team-working capabilities
