Your Role
Apollo is seeking a Graduate Actuarial Analyst to join the ibott Pricing team. In this role you will contribute to actuarial analysis that informs underwriting and portfolio decisions across a diverse range of risks within the Lloyd’s market. The position offers the opportunity to build strong analytical and technical foundations while gaining practical exposure to pricing work within a collaborative actuarial environment.
About ibott
Since 2014, ibott has established itself as a recognised leader in underwriting innovative companies operating in the sharing economy and future of transportation. The team combines long term strategic partnerships with a data driven underwriting approach, enabling tailored risk transfer solutions and genuine collaboration with clients.
What You’ll Do
You will support pricing analysis that informs underwriting and portfolio management decisions, including reviewing exposure and claims data and assisting with the development and maintenance of pricing models and analytical tools.
Working closely with Actuarial, Data Science, Claims and Underwriter colleagues, you will help translate data into clear insights that support decision making. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of pricing processes and analytical capability within the team while gaining exposure to coding and data tools used within the actuarial function.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with a strong academic background in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Physics, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science, or a similar numerically focused subject. You will demonstrate strong analytical thinking and an interest in working with data to explore patterns and trends that support underwriting decisions.
You will be comfortable communicating ideas clearly and working collaboratively with colleagues across actuarial and underwriting teams. Exposure to coding or programming, through academic study, projects, or internships, would be beneficial.
We are seeking applicants with an interest in developing a career in actuarial science and working towards professional qualification with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). Exposure to professional environments through internships, placements, or other work experience would be advantageous, particularly within insurance, pensions, or financial services.
