Beazley are looking for a (2+ year post) qualified Regulatory Reporting Accountant to be a key member of the Regulatory Reporting team for a 12-14 month fixed term contract (contract will be until 15th August 2025). The Regulatory Reporting team has broad reporting responsibilities, preparing regulatory returns for seven Lloyd’s syndicates. The ideal candidate will have experience working within Insurance, will be a forward thinker and have an understanding of the impacts of business change on reporting.

- Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system. These may include membership of any Beazley committees or working groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting
- Support the timely and accurate production of the regulatory reporting to Lloyd’s for Beazley’s seven Lloyd’s syndicates, including QMA, QMB, TPD, GQD and PMD returns.
- Support the production of the Singapore MAS returns for the syndicates 0623 and 2623.
- Support the production of the Labuan LFSA returns.
- Support the production and filing of the US and Canadian SITUS returns.
- To participate in the annual Lloyd’s Liquidity Stress Test exercise and the annual NAIC returns.
- Perform analytical reviews of the returns and identify the key drivers behind the performance being reported.
- Support the preparation of the regulatory review committee papers and to assist in the presentation of the returns to senior management at regulatory committees.
Projects
- To participate in the Finance Modernisation Project, to seek to improve the regulatory reporting processes through streamlining, automating and enhancing controls.
- To assist in the redesign and implementation of the proposed changes to the TPD reporting process.
- .To help with the migration of the GQD and PMD returns into the Lloyd’s Regulatory Reporting Team.
Other
- Implementation and execution of enhanced controls over the reporting process as defined in the Beazley risk management framework.
- Support the continued development and improvement of the financial reporting processes, systems and controls.
- To support the two Assistant Regulatory Reporting accountants, to share knowledge and experience and assist them in their development.
- Support the Regulatory Reporting Manager on other ad-hoc finance reporting requirements/projects as required.
Personal Specification:
Education and Qualifications
- Professional accountancy qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Graduate equivalent education and/or qualified by experience
Skills and Abilities
- Strong computing skills – MS Office, with a particular focus on Excel with experience of working with PowerPivot, PowerQuery and PowerBI an advantage.
