We are currently recruiting for an Technical Claims Specialist to join our established and experienced Chief Operating Office team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Role Requirements
As our Technical Claims Specialist you will be responsible for handling large and specialist cases using agreed claims processes to achieve settlement and business targets. You will spend the majority of your time reviewing and assessing claims, liaising with customers, internal colleagues and suppliers.
You will also be responsible for liaising and co-operating with Re-insurers and/or internal Reinsurance teams as necessary, in order to ensure full and prompt recovery of monies owed to the business. As well as this you will also be organising and using approved internal and/or external suppliers to ensure repair, replacement and supply of appropriate goods and services to customers.
You will also be responsible for providing advice and guidance on the development of new and improved policy wordings to ensure policy documentation reflects claims experience. As well as contributing to the identification of and research into new product and proposition development opportunities to ensure the claims components are feasible and appropriate to the target customer.
The Individual
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need to have experience of handling large claims, with the ability to work to a licence in excess of £100,000. As well as this you will need to have experience of at least one line of business across the full width of customers, propositions and risk scenarios, ideally within Engineering or Property lines of business.
As well as this you will also need good stakeholder and customer management skills. You will also need good negotiation skills, being able to communicate effectively, use your own judgement and plan/manage your time effectively.
