Aviva have an excellent opportunity available for a Risk Business Partner to join our Global, Corporate and Speciality lines business area, to establish broker conduct, support consumer duty activities and build out our distribution conduct infrastructure within commercial lines.
A bit about the job:
In this position, you would be acting as a trusted advisor to the business providing guidance on risk and control matters, commercial growth initiatives and change, whilst fostering a good risk culture by raising awareness about the importance of risk management and control across Broker Distribution. You will ensure the ongoing provision of risk management advice and guidance, to guarantee sound business decisions are made. You will support the ongoing embedding of Consumer Duty and the Conduct reporting across the Commercial Lines business.
The successful candidate will also interpret and apply framework requirements to align with business objectives, set and chair the risk functional risk forums including the agenda through to identification and management of risks proactively, and evaluating the control environment to enhance existing controls and processes to ensure they align with business standards and policies, whilst simplifying processes.
Aviva operates a “smart-working” policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office, and this role can be based in London, Norwich, York, Bristol, Birmingham or Perth.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Broker Distribution oversight and governance knowledge.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels, with proven business partnering experience.
- Proven track record of influencing C-Suite and senior stakeholders on all things Risk and Conduct, either 1st or 2nd line.
- Knowledge of the General Insurance market and associated regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of Consumer Duty and/or associated FCA regulation relating to the Broker market, including the implementation, governance and MI and reporting.

- Starting salary circa £80,000 (National) / circa £90,000 (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
