Schemes Underwriter
Salary: circa £24,000
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Group Protection Pricing team as a Scheme Underwriter. You will work within the team to provide an outstanding and high-quality service to customers, whilst adhering to underwriting policies, controls, regulations, and legislation.
A bit about the job:
- Provide Group Protection quotations, analysing risk, providing terms, and setting price, all within designated authority and guidelines. You’ll manage your own cases and refer decisions as agreed. Underwriting decisions should be aligned to our underwriting philosophy and be within personal authority limits
- Provide support and assistance to customers and brokers, building your own knowledge and experience
- Deliver good customer outcomes through all activities, supporting our customers to pursue their financial objectives
- Full training and support will be on hand to help you as you start your career as a Group Protection Scheme Underwriter
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Analytical approach with a high level of attention to detail
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office 365 applications, in particular Excel
- Motivated to deliver a positive experience for all Scheme Underwriting customers
- Ability to plan and self-organise, sometimes against changing priorities within the working day
- Educated to GCSE standard, including Maths and English

- Salary circa £24,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
