We are pleased to be recruiting an experienced Broker for our London-based EMEA treaty reinsurance team!
The successful candidate will have proven experience in the P&C treaty reinsurance market and have a strong command of technical, statistical and broking skills.

How you'll make an impact
- Frequent engagement with colleagues across various Gallagher Re offices that cater to the EMEA market.
- Collaborating daily with the wider client team, including actuaries, Cat modellers, and servicing teams, to develop comprehensive client advice.
- Leading day-to-day account handling and developing initial ideas for structure, coverage, and marketing strategy.
- Reviewing data, statistics, and information packs to support the placement of clients' reinsurance programs, ensuring detailed marketing and broking.
- Supporting the creation of slips to ensure clients receive outstanding coverage.
- Coordinating analytics and servicing resources to nurture a sense of community within the client team.
- Leading tenders, structuring, and placement execution.
- Ensuring top-quality accounting and claims servicing.
- Bringing up issues to the Client Advocate and Advocate Partner as needed.
- Representing clients and Gallagher Re in the market.
- Handling and resolving queries from clients and reinsurers, including regular in-person engagement.
- Working on ad hoc projects, supporting strategy, conducting research, and producing reports/PowerPoint presentations.
- Contributing to RFPs and tenders to support the growth of Gallagher Re.
About You
- A Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII) is desired.
- Validated experience in handling treaty reinsurance business.
- Ability to discuss broader risk and capital management and regulatory issues affecting the (re)insurance industry, bringing ideas and solutions to clients.
- Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of the reinsurance marketplace.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and markets.
- Highly orgainsed with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise different tasks and workloads.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
