Responsibilities
The Bordereaux Management team is responsible for managing the entire bordereaux process to create a centralised repository of bordereaux data for reporting and analytics purposes.
The Delegated Bordereaux Executive is responsible for providing support to the Delegated Reporting Manager, with the end-to-end process for processing and validating all delegated Risk, Premium and Claims bordereaux data. A significant part of the role is supporting our outsourced partners to ensure standard operating procedures and data quality are adhered to. To deliver market-leading levels of service and accurate, meaningful outputs to internal stakeholders.
- Managing and supporting our outsource provider on a daily basis to ensure smooth throughput of bordereaux data into our bordereaux management system; DDM, in a timely manner.
- Analysis and triage of bordereaux data issues. Ability to break down complex issues and identify trends, patterns and interdependencies. Coordination with Coverholder, Underwriters, Claims Handlers and service partner to resolve.
- Perform and report on data quality checks conducted on processed data and reconciliation of financials to ledger. Escalate issues where required.
- Ensure suitable controls are put in place to review and action any discrepancies between the terms of the binding authority agreement and the submitted data.
- Perform peer reviews of bordereaux mappings in line with standard operating procedures based on Lloyd’s v5.2. Liaising with internal stakeholders for approval.
- Assist with contract set up and load within DDM.
- Maintain diaries and chasing mechanisms to ensure bordereaux are received and downstream systems are up to date.
Qualifications
Based on the activities the Bordereaux team will undertake, the following skill sets are believed to be required:
- Proven relevant experience.
- Proven experience within Lloyd’s and the London Insurance Market.
- Strong analytical skills and technical expertise in bordereaux management.
- Understanding of DDM or other market Bordereaux systems.
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Professional and approachable with a ‘can-do’ attitude to successfully interact with senior management/colleagues/external suppliers.
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to be assertive and to challenge others whilst maintaining positive working relationships.
- Ability to manage time, manage projects, meet deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to communicate and explain complex issues clearly and succinctly.
