The Opportunity
Miller is seeking an assistant to join the central Company Secretarial and Governance team based in London which provides group companies with governance and company secretarial support. The role involves providing administrative and organisational support to.
Key responsibilities include assistance in preparing for meetings of group company Boards of Directors and other governance forums and Committees and Business Unit management meetings. This will involve supporting the creation of meeting packs, liaising with individuals required to prepare reports, collating and reviewing papers, and creating finalised meeting packs using online meeting management software. Familiarity with Diligent software is preferred.
The role also involves assisting with the implementation of enhanced internal administrative processes and documentation. This is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Maintaining the statutory records of group companies at Companies House, and equivalent bodies overseas as well as internally, is another important activity for the team and this role will play an important part in this activity and the associated formal processes, preparation of documentation and the submission of annual filings.
The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance of up-to-date records to evidence proper governance. They will also support the maintenance of the governance framework, assist with the maintenance of corporate and other structural and organisational charts, and help with certain regulatory applications.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Educated to undergraduate level is preferred but not essential.
Experience in a similar role within Financial Services would be advantagous.
