Kennedys is looking for an IT Operations Manager, to join our IT team and be based in our London office.
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and performance of the organisation's IT, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, managing incident resolution, service requests, and ensuring adherence to SLAs and security policies. The IT Operations Manager will also drive continuous improvements in processes and service delivery, while collaborating with various departments to align IT services with business goals. Key responsibilities include resource planning, and ensuring operational excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Team
Kennedys IT team is responsible for delivery of a responsive, effective and timely IT support service to the firm's employees and clients.
They devise and implement operational processes and procedures in order to provide reliable and available IT systems to the firm.
Working within the operational function within IT, this role will help advocate for the user and service experience while ensuring. Primarily located in the UK, this team provides services globally.
Key responsibilities
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) responsible for various regions.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of global IT operations.
- Ensure alignment of IT operations with the company's strategic objectives and business goals.
Required experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Proven experience in managing global IT operations and service delivery teams
- Strong knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Experience managing third-party IT service providers, particularly IT Helpdesk suppliers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
