Position Summary:
We are seeking to hire a Multination Consultant to be based out of our Manchester office.
This role is responsible for using technical, sales and analytical skills to provide multinational insurance solutions, guidance and overarching support that drives achievement of multinational production goals and meet CNA customers’ needs & requirements. The individual will have a thorough understanding of CNA’s strategies and appetites and working in conjunction with account designate underwriter(s) will use internal and external data to make appropriate individual and portfolio decisions. Working closely with European business unit underwriters, distribution and service functions across all platforms this proactive role is responsible for providing expert technical advice relative to program structure, territorial analysis & servicing capabilities in addition to facilitating the placement of international business wherever client solutions are required. The role will play an pivotal part of the internal & external relationship management function within International Solutions including stakeholder engagement and ongoing performance management of same. National & International travel will form an increasingly important component of this role.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (other duties may be assigned as required) :
The candidate will assist by orchestrating coordinated efforts of claims, operations, technology, and B&C along with other areas of CNA to ensure the right support is available to meet International Solutions strategic objectives.
Expertise - Working with underwriting the individual will
- Be a Subject Matter Expert supporting underwriters in the development of Controlled Master Programs through a thorough understanding & knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for local policies across all lines.
- Review applications and financial requirements to develop fully compliant and client focused multinational solutions.
- Aid underwriter with global tax information and other relevant fees for local policy placements
- Use all appropriate underwriting tools, disciplines and territorial & regulatory knowledge to ensure underwriting guidelines are adhered to.
- Demonstrate technical skill through strategic, thorough account reviews and file documentation.
- Keep current on territory issues, regulations and trends
Portfolio Management
- Input and manage the local policy requirements within CNA Compass. Centralising all communication through you relative to account status & query resolution.
- Actively manage Underlyer Requests with approved Network Partners, keeping quotes and policy issuance within agreed SLA
- Provide local policy and claims information to underwriter ahead of renewal.
- Proactively work with underwriters during renewal &/or new business discussions (internal or external) , providing insight into local policy issuance and premium payments, whilst highlighting any known complications.
- Manages assigned portfolio to achieve retention, new business, and portfolio management goals
- Prioritizes time to optimise broker performance relative to multinational knowledge and pipeline development.
- Operate with an Enterprise perspective to identify cross sell opportunities and create growth opportunities across other products &/or segments
- Demonstrates knowledge of CNA’s products and appetite while clearly communicating CNA’s proposition
- This role will be critical in the business transformation and the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels & platforms to ensure that business strategy and priorities are reflected in the prioritization of efforts is essential.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Strong insurance background including experience in multinational commercial insurance with a strong operational and
- client servicing background coupled with solid knowledge of all relevant regulatory and legal requirements applicable to multinational insurance placements
- Knowledge of underwriting processes, coverages, and tools to gather and evaluate information in order to reach appropriate decisions on renewals and new business
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners within scope of responsibility, team and/or matrix environment
- Ability to uncover customer needs, position specific solutions and handle objections
- Ability to exercise judgment, negotiate and make sound business decisions effectively
- Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise
- influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
- Proactive, enthusiastic and able to work independently.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Package – Excel, Word, Outlook.
