You will be a Deputy Chief Executive Officer. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer, International.
The Deputy CEO is based in Sweden and supports the CEO based in London in overseeing critical business areas, and acts as CEO during absences for entity governance and smooth running of the Swedish Operation. The role ensures continuity of leadership, culture and values. The Deputy CEO contributes to a successful and significant relationship with the regulators. The role is less about business growth and trading but more about maintenance of current business and regulatory oversight and governance.
This role operates within a regulated financial environment, requiring adherence to Finansinspektionen (FI) regulations, the Solvency II framework, and the Swedish Corporate Governance Code.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Support the CEO in developing and implementing the company’s local strategy.
- Oversight of the strategic transformation initiatives which impact Sweden and any Third Country branches as needed.
- Identifying any onsite strategic leadership challenges to ensure that business, culture and risk appetite goals are met.
- Liaison with group executives as required and or authorised by CEO.
- Operational Management
- Oversee teams based in Sweden working collaboratively with non-domiciled managers and executives
- Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FI requirements, Solvency II, AML/CTF regulations, and internal governance frameworks.
- Contribute to board reporting, internal controls, and risk management processes as well as the smooth running of SINT management and / or board committees
- Act as executive sponsor for internal and external audits.
- Risk & Financial Stewardship
- Collaborate with the SINT CRO and SINT CFO to ensure sound risk, capital, and financial management.
- Supporting the timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports with the SINT CFO
- Leadership & Culture
- Foster a high‑performance, inclusive, and ethical culture aligned with Swedish workplace values.
- Coach senior leaders and contribute to succession planning.
- Build strong employee engagement and uphold clear leadership communication.
- Serve as the accountable person for the Safe Working Environment System
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the company in external forums, including regulators, industry bodies, business partners, and major clients.
- Acting as CEO
- Serve as the CEO’s delegate when the CEO is absent.
- Exercise full decision-making authority within the approved governance and delegation framework
