The Opportunity
QBE is looking for a Compliance Analyst /Officer to join our friendly and supportive Compliance team. This role is ideal for someone with early-career experience in insurance compliance who is ready to grow their skills in sanctions, financial crime, and regulatory requirements.
We are also open to considering applicantsoperatingat a slightly more experienced Analyst level, where they candemonstratestrong relevant experience and the right approach to learning, collaboration and team fit.
You’llbe supported by experienced colleagues, with the opportunity to learn gradually and contribute to meaningful compliance activity in a close‑knit team environment.

Your new role
As a Compliance Analyst /Officer, you will gain hands‑on experience across core compliance operations while building confidence and capability in a collaborative setting.
- Assist with monitoring the sanctions inbox, including sanctions screening and due diligence checks.
- Support the team in managing the sanctions screening tool and uploading of data for overnight batch sanctions screening, closely working with IT specialists.
- Support with the investigation and analysis of matches flagged in the sanctions screening tool.
- Help prioritise and manage business referrals with guidance from senior team members.
- Support the review of sanctions-related referrals.
- Contribute to reviews of regulatory updates and assist in sharing key points internally.
- Involvement with AML queries and close interaction with the financial crime team.
- Assist with gathering and organising data for management information, dashboards, and reports.
- Help prepare meeting papers and documents for committees and boards.
- Support general compliance department activities and the delivery of the Compliance Plan.
About you
- Some experience in insurance compliance, financial crime, or a similar regulatory support role.
- Keen to learn and develop compliance skills, with a proactive and steady approach.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing tasks with support.
- Interest in understanding regulatory changes and how they affect the business.
- Basic analytical and research skills with good attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exposure to sanctions or financial crime processes is helpful but not essential.
- Familiarity with the Lloyd’s market is an advantage.
