Regional IT Product Lead – Commercial Risk (Post-Bind)

Responsibilities of this role
This role will provide the candidate an opportunity to drive the EMEA/UK regional strategy for our Policy & Fee Contract Management products for our new Commercial Risk Solutions ecosystem. Overarching responsibilities include helping to strengthen our delivery team, defining the strategy and backlog for delivering global and country-specific requirements, and overseeing delivery as part of a global strategic multi-workstream programme. On a day-to-day level this will require the candidate to:
- Engage country-level Broking Operations teams to understand the gap between the current solution and local business practice and regulation.
- Refine the vision and roadmap for a global Policy & Fee Contract Management capability by enhancing the feature offerings catering for various country broking strategies.
- Lead fit-gap analyses with business analysts, mapping country needs to global processing standards and defining new system requirements for delivery.
- Facilitate ranking, estimation, testing and deployment planning with Agile delivery team, working in partnership with Global IT Product Manager.
- Work with Business Analysts on creating the required user stories and ensuring they are clearly defined, well understood and properly estimated.
- Govern the management of reference data and system configuration with business SMEs for any new country rollouts, or enhancements post go-live.
- Track delivery across multiple cross-functional Agile teams, attending release and sprint planning, demos.
- Support engagement with country stakeholders, coordinating enhancements, feature voting, testing, training and deployment planning incl. country change management
- Continuously monitor performance and quality of applications, gathering feedback from stakeholders, to inform decisions and future enhancements.
- Support country team/user onboarding to ensure appropriate governance of access by role
- Taking personal responsibility for delivery quality by dependent Agile product teams
- Support L2+ support for product in region and ensure smooth operation by IT support

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- A number of years experience in similar Product Management or Lead BA role, with at least 3 years experience in working with Agile Scrum teams.
- Experienced and comfortable in leading business-facing workshops: as-is vs. to-be process mapping, product vision sessions, UX/UI design, data governance and stewardship etc.
- Experience in Policy Administration/Management Systems, Broking, Invoicing or Technical Accounting solutions in a financial/insurance context is highly desirable.
- Good experience or familiarity with overseeing home-grown applications (React + API + Database), especially with a strong emphasis on data capture and workflow.
- Good Agile knowledge – Scrum, Kanban, TDD and other practices. Certification desirable.
- College degree in IT-related discipline.
