Kennedys is looking for a Partnership Accountant to join our Tax Team based in London. The Partnership Accountant will work as part of the Tax Team to provide the Firm with full disclosure in relation to partner finances, and work alongside Global Financial Reporting to provide a proactive reporting and support service to the Firm including management accounts, statutory reporting, board reporting, projects and processes.
Team
Kennedys Finance team support the Firm globally producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain partnership accounting records and current accounts;
- Assist in maintaining global partner fixed and variable data including remuneration;
- To prepare and reconcile monthly drawings payments and other partner payments along with internal recharges of expenses to partners;
- Production of current account statements for partners in relevant currency and reconcile these to the accounting system;
- Maintain partner capital arrangements;
- Manage reconciliations and payments to retired partners;
- Manage onboarding of lateral partner hires and promotees;
- Working closely with the Group Financial Reporting team on any reporting requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- To answer ad hoc partner questions regarding payments, current accounts;
- Oversea the administration of the firm's car scheme for partners;
- Offer assistance and training to our assistants in the Tax Team.
Required Experience
- Experience in global partner accounting preferable within a law firm;
- Strong attention to detail and discipline in managing your own workload;
- Strong understanding and practical use of Excel and Elite
