We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join our growing Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value claims within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
Our Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team handles every stage of a claim—from liability investigations and policy coverage through to quantum assessment across all levels of Multi-Track work.
You will:
- Work closely with experienced Partners on complex, high-value, and sensitive cases
- Act for leading insurer and corporate clients
- Gain exposure to a broad range of claims including motor, employer’s liability, and public liability
- Play a key role in building and maintaining client relationships

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Partners on a varied caseload of catastrophic injury and large loss claims
- Conduct investigations, including:
- Taking witness statements
- Reviewing and interpreting medical records and reports
- Liaise directly with clients and provide strategic legal advice
- Ensure compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements
- Proactively manage files and adhere to court timetables
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and client reports
- Handle interlocutory proceedings and CCMCs
- Support Partners in client development and business growth initiatives
- Contribute to marketing and business development activities
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 5+ years’ PQE (guideline only) with strong catastrophic injury / large loss experience
- Possesses solid personal injury litigation expertise
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment
- Enjoys tackling complex legal issues and developing technical knowledge
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to client service excellence
