How you'll make an impact- Leading & executing change required to deliver against agreed outcomes of a variety projects
across the functional, business, technology and operations teams. - Working closely with the Project and Delivery Managers to ensure projects are delivered to time, cost and quality.
- Accounting for the set up and management of governance, working with the respective leads to manage working groups and management meetings as required to support delivery.
- Co-ordinating and controlling of delivery, ensuring execution is interlocked across projects, risks and issues are identified and escalated to resolution effectively.
- Providing regular and effective communication of updates and changes to senior internal management/ leadership.
- Being accountable for project budgets, ensuring ongoing costs and capitalisation meet budget requirements.
- Maintaining a future focus, looking ahead to ensure any risks or dependencies are managed effectively.
- Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business
About You- Previous experience working as a Programme or Portfolio Manager gained working in the Insurance or Financial services industries.
- Proven experience of leading multiple or large complex projects or programmes in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Knowledge and experience of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services would be an advantage.
- Demonstrable full life cycle project manager experience, along with experience of leading multisite projects.
- Confidently manages and sustains a key relationship network within a programme environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including Executives and senior level management coupled with the ability to motivate others through good people management skills.
- Ability to respond confidently to conflicts and manage situations positively, proactively escalating issues.
- A self-starter, deadline driven; able to set / adjust priorities, including when under timeline pressure.
- Creative problem-solver with the ability to think strategically as well as operate at detailed level and deep-dive where needed, comfortable with conducting analysis and handling financial data and making recommendations to a variety of audiences.
- Experience of using Planview is desirable but not essential
