Overview
Working closely with clients and colleagues, the Health and Welfare Sr. Business Analyst plays a key role in the examination of business and functional/ system requirements to ensure the Health and Welfare system implementation and maintenance activities meet the established standards of quality as well as reliability, usability and performance. You will be responsible to ensure that the system solution in place reflects client’s benefits. In addition, you will be responsible to mentor and train junior to intermediate team members.
How you'll make an impact
• SME for Technical/Functional issues
• Mentoring and coaching team members on technical aspects
• Lead training efforts for the team and actively engage in ongoing development of team/unit/cross tower members
• Work independently on tasks assigned
• Demonstrate Module level ownership (Work assigned to self and immediate sub-ordinates)
• Manage internal stakeholder communication (including Technology & other teams for assigned module)
• Assist & Manage Offshore/Onshore Interaction and Stakeholder Communication, including Technical/Functional escalations
• Update all documentation with task details and provide regular updates to team
• Strong understanding of Domain and is required to comprehend Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
• Review/Maintain BRD for system gaps & domain compliance
• Maintain and Update BRD for ongoing changes
• Interprets requirements to create/update systems specifications documents
• Perform & Review Data Analysis, Audit, and associated research and provide subsequent resolutions
• Work independently to manage smooth integration/transition of processes to maintain documentations for the same
• Responsible for solving the production related issues and preparation of annual calendar, as applicable.
• Execute & Manage the assigned tasks {analysis and production} specific to your Tower
About You
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Technology
- Knowledge of Health and Welfare plans is an Asset
- Knowledge of automated testing tool (implement and use) and Project and Test Management Tools
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
- Facility to handle and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to commit to deadlines and deliver on a timely manner
- Capability to take ownership and be accountable for assigned tasks
- Excel working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented project team environment
- Demonstrate high problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to share concepts and information to teammates and clients
- Client satisfaction focus along with team-oriented work style
- Enjoy system analysis/implementation/documentation/testing/programming
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Knowledge of SQL, VB
- Post secondary education, bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred
- Industry specific certifications
