How does this role contribute to our collective success?
The Group Risk Teamis responsible foridentifying, monitoring and managing key risks across all of AXIS’s business and operations. It works closely with multiple stakeholders across AXIS and establishesa view of risk using a mixture of qualitative and quantitative analyses.
The purpose of this role is to play an important role within the Group Risk Team, to support the on-going development of the view of risk and to enable the business to make informed decisions.
What will you do in this role?
- You will support the ongoing development and enhancement of the core components of the enterprise risk management framework.
- You will assist the team in the preparation and production of internal risk reporting materials (e.g. CRO report, annual ORSA). This includes collaborating with colleagues across the business to bring together key data, metrics and dashboards to incorporate in risk reports.
- You will support the team in its core risk processes, which will include activities such as facilitating the risk and control self-assessment and operational risk event processes.
- Support other members of the Group ERM team in providing challenge of AXIS’ first line processes around key risks to the business, most notably across areas of operational risk.
- You will play a key role in maintaining the risk management system and data to ensure it is complete and up to date, as well as managing the ongoing development of the system functionality and supporting processes.
- You will participate in project work and deep dive assessments on topical areas.
- You will provide support to the Validation Manager to request and gather information on the internal model with appropriate support. Bringing together key data, metrics and dashboards to ensure the efficient and timely production of the annual IM validation report.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What we prefer you to have:
- Some understanding of Insurance is an advantage but is not a pre-requisite to the role.
- Interest in risk management and Insurance as an industry.
- ~1-2 years' work experience in a commercial, preferably financial services, environment.
