Role Requirements
This internship is with our actuary team, with places available in Leeds, Liverpool, London and Horsham.
Successful completion of the summer internship could lead to you being offered a place on our Bright Futures graduate programme after your Graduation.
Responsibilities
There is a variety and breadth within this internship, and you could find yourself within our pricing, capital or reserving teams.
You can expect to be working on projects that will include preparing and analysing internal and external data for pricing purposes, working on inflation calculations, modelling claims cost for current & future customers, and assisting with implementation and optimisation of pricing algorithms. Further opportunities will include working within the capital area updating assumptions in the internal capital model and assisting with the allocation of capital to individual business units.
The Individual
We want your individualism, capability, and ambition to shine through. You will need to have a zest for learning and a willingness to be hands on in the role.
You will need to be a Graduate in your penultimate year of study in a Mathematics, statistics, or other highly numerate discipline.
The best attributes to have for this internship are to be an effective communicator, with strong numeracy and mathematical skills. Basic programming and technology skills (Excel, VBA, R) will be an advantage.
Location - London/Horsham/Liverpool/Leeds.
At RSA, our internship programme is a pipeline opportunity for candidates to our graduate programme. Applicants should be eligible to work in the United Kingdom as Skilled Worker sponsorship may not be available for the graduate programme at this time due to the salary thresholds in place.
